Glynis Whitfield is happy to be sharing her passion for working with Chakras with you. Glynis completed her IYTA teacher training in 1994 and commenced
teaching that same year.
Glynis became interested in working with chakras when she discovered a book called The Yoga of Power by Julius Evola, not long after she began teaching yoga. She has been influenced by many teachers along the way including Carolyn Myss, Barbara Ann Brennan, Chris Barrington and Anodea Judith whose book Eastern Body Western Mind gives great insight into how the yogic energy system meshes with western psychological viewpoints. Although each teacher may have a different approach, there is a remarkable consistency between different forms of energy work. The chakras are the data banks of our lives and Glynis has found through personal experience that by paying attention to what is happening in them, we can become more conscious within our own lives, leading to more awareness of our own motivations and the letting go of old patterns.
Glynis brings a very practical approach to unlocking the mysteries of the chakras with simple techniques which are available to any yoga practitioner, from the beginner to the more experienced.
This one day Exploration of the Yoga Energy Systems workshop will:
- Explore Yoga Anatomy through the Chakras, Koshas, Prana Vayus and Nadis.
- Introduce how asana, pranayama and meditation techniques can affect you on a direct way.
- Be a journey inward
- Give you techniques for your own self-exploration and personal practice.
Morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Please BYO lunch.
